Men SS21 - casually cool & fearlessly fashionable

Following the success of two capsule collections for men in 2020, Nathalie Vleeschouwer is now launching a complete men’s line for the first time ever – exclusively available online, starting today.

Nathalie had spotted a gap in the men’s collections lining the racks these days, bemoaning the way they provide men with either highly formal suits or an oversupply of everyday jeans, T-shirts and sweaters. Outside of these two extremes, Nathalie found few high-quality, innovative designs. ‘I felt that was a real pity. I don’t want to draw on stereotypes or detract from masculinity, but really: there are few things as attractive as a man who has thought about his looks.’

A family affair

Nathalie asked her husband and son for input on the collection’s fit and practical requirements. Creatively, the new line is an extension of her women’s collection. The designs remain sober, to allow materials, colours and prints to be the main focus.

In a move to prevent waste, the designer reused the same basic fabrics as in her women’s collection, and imported unisex prints from her current collection. All fabrics are made from natural materials, ideal for warm summer days!

The Tencel-based designs were produced in Turkey, while the trousers and short-sleeved shirts are all made in Belgium.

Collaborating with young talent

Photographer Darwin Cabrera, who studies at the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, was asked to take on the campaign shoot. His analogue photos conjure up the relaxed vibe of friends hanging out together, and radiate humour and a contagious joie de vivre.

The collection is Nathalie’s ode to fearlessly fashionable men. For  the man who dares to embrace his own sex appeal with a certain nonchalance and cool. It’s a gift to the men in her life as well as to herself – and it’s sure to bring an even warmer smile to all genders’ lips as they enjoy summer evenings together.
